FAQ

Lower Church car park and around the Secondary library.

This year we will have 2 areas allocated to rides, the lower basketball & tennis court dedicated to younger children and the lower church car park for older children. The rides we have on offer this year are: dodgem cars, super flyer, jumbo slide, tea cups, round up, ride on mechanical animals and an inflatable extreme ninja obstacle course. We are also pleased to advise that the jumping castles and hammer throw activity will NOT require an armband.

We are delighted to announce that there will be a booth set up in the Primary quadrangle on Friday, 8 September. The booth will be open from 7:00 am to 8:30 am and then again from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, giving families the opportunity to collect their pre-purchased unlimited ride arm bands and game tickets. We kindly request that Primary school aged children be accompanied by an older sibling or adult when collecting the arm bands. Please remember to bring your arm bands to the event as they cannot be replaced if forgotten. Thank you for your understanding.

We have more than doubled our food vendors this year. We are delighted to welcome the following food vendors to our carnival in 2023:

  • Citipointe BBQ
  • Tangled Tatoes
  • Red Oriental
  • Schnitzel Von Yumm
  • BimmsBBQ Chargrill
  • Instanbulon wheels
  • Carlos Tacos
  • Quick Fix Hot Food
  • Catch and Kiss Seafood
  • Annie’s Sugar and Spice
  • Cold Brew Iced Tea
  • SlusheeKingdom
  • Soft Serve King

Missed the EKKA and want your showbag fix?! This year we are pleased to announce our showbag stall which includes a variety of Cadbury chocolates, popular confectionery brands and novelties. Prices range from $6 – $10.

Best parking is Citipointe church and CHC car park. Car park attendants will be on site to direct you to the nearest available car park. Overflow parking will be available on the grassed area heading toward Scrub Road (across from Marketplace)

After receiving feedback from families, we have moved the Torres Firework display to 7:15pm. This allows the younger children to watch the fireworks while also easing the car park traffic at the close of the event.

There will be a room allocated for a Mother’s Room for mums with small children. Keep your eye out for the event map for the room’s location.

This event is not possible without the help of our College community. Parents, we encourage you to join us in volunteering an hour and half of your time to make this event successful.

We value our business sponsors! If you would like more information about becoming one of our sponsors please view our packages HERE or contact Kim on kimc@citipointe.qld.edu.au

Our Country Carnival is the much-awaited event of the year, a fantastic afternoon where our community comes together for a great time, strengthening our connections and creating lasting memories.
